I just read about the media flurry following Jon Favreau’s tweet anouncing Harrison Ford signing on to his film, trumping the traditional press. I’m wondering what the effect could be over time…Entertainment news isn’t necessarily life-changing and therefore doesn’t perhaps HAVE to be unbiased and vetted — but it can financially support more broad-ranging journalistic responsibilities. Like candy purchases help grocery stores be around to sell you veggies. One thing is certain: Jon Favreau is shrewdly demonstrating control over his film.

THANK YOU for the Daffy Duck sound bite! The classic Looney Tunes cartoons still might be the greatest comedic accomplishment in the history of human civilization. I now am severely jonesing for a trip to Amoeba Music to look for some dusty WB DVDs…or videos. Thanks alot (note Daffy’s sarcastic inflection…)…
