Sexual Harassment Feels Good, by Q. Reyes – Artistic Warfare #101
I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus, but I’m back on the 101. This break has proven to me that life goes one, with or without you. Every night I close my eyes and go to sleep only to wake up the next day. I guess that’s everyone’s life. That’s been a realization for me.
So this year has been one of many changes for me, and I’m sure for everyone in the world, as well. However, I feel like I’m waking up and noticing specific things out of place. Like who’s this Herman Cain dude and why do people care that he harassed women? You’re supposed to at least make an attempt to “get some”, if not, how else will you get some?
Harassing women is a man’s purpose. The problem is the word harassment. I rather call it “hitting on women at work”. There’s nothing wrong with that. Our society is all messed up. How many happy marriages started off at work? Plenty.
The women accusing Cain never used the word “harassment”, until he started to run for a presidential candidacy. It’s all BS! I’m not a Republican Party fan, still, I’m all for fairness. Some men are more aggressive than others, but that doesn’t mean that it’s harassment. I’m not condoning any kind of physical aggression, but some “forwardness” is needed sometimes in order to attract some women.
Our society is way too careful on what we say, when we say it and to whom we say it, yet – we don’t pay attention a lot of times of WHY we say it. How are you supposed to kiss a woman if you don’t try??? It’s not like women are running up and down the street “giving” kisses away (well… not for free, at least in my neighborhood). You gotta make some sort of attempt! If that’s what Herman Cain did, then good for him! And if he was married, then that’s his wife’s problem.
What I’m saying is that we are put in this world to procreate, and fortunately you have to get physical in order to get it done. So if you’re a woman that don’t like men trying to “get some” from you, then blame God, not the man. If God wanted he would have made humans to procreate using smell or vision, but instead he chose for special areas in your body to intertwine and have a blast. So if you don’t like it, then don’t do it, but don’t try to stop everyone else from doing it.
This whole debacle is making me want to vote for Herman Cain out of spite just so that this country can see what real harassment is: Economic and cultural harassment – that’s the real harassment we’re facing. Get your priorities straight, people.

Dude, I’m glad you’re back, but at least 2 woman used the “harassment” WAY before he was running for President and they both got paid a big fat check because of it.

Wow.
There’s nothing wrong with hitting women at work? Most of times, there isn’t. Except when you’re the boss or in a better position. And the woman starts wondering what the consequences will be for her professional career if she doesn’t play along.
Here in Brazil, we’re not as neurotic about such things as you Americans. We usually can separate flirting with co-workers and taking ‘no’ with good grace from a boss blackmailing the people he works with. Thank God for our Latin American laid back nature.

If a guy can’t ‘get some’ without the threat of a woman’s financial devastation tipping the scales in his favor, he’s not fit to procreate. He should be cut from the herd.
And it isn’t just men hitting on women. It can be the reverse as well as same sex.
I know you are just back, Q., but I think that you are coming from a bad place on this one. Talk with a woman (or man) who you care about who has gone through it – mother, sister, friend – and then see if it changes your mind.
I am with you on getting tired about conversations that aren’t important. A more worthy conversation about Cain is his inept policy platform and profound ignorance regarding essential information that is necessarily mastered to succeed as Commander in Chief.

You’re right. The phrase “harassment” is being used incorrectly. If a guy slides his hand up a woman’s leg under her dress against her will, that’s not harassment. It’s molestation. If you want to blame anybody’s god for that, well, that’s not my business. If you did that to my daughter, she’d smash you hard in the face and probably knock out a couple teeth and I would gladly bail her out.

As for how to kiss a woman without trying, it’s not the trying per se that is problematic; it’s the manner in which one tries — although if you’re even remotely clever, you’ll get her to kiss you first.

Wow, Q. That was an astounding piece of satire. It was so masterful one can only think that you didn’t actually plagiarize some column from Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity.
(Now. Please admit that this article WAS just a bit of witty satire. Because, if it wasn’t, you *really* do need to take Whitney’s advice. Or, better yet, just do a little experiment. Walk down any street and approach a woman, completely at random–bonus points if she’s dressed “provocatively”–and just pinch her ass or fondle her breasts and see how she reacts. If you manage to NOT get a fist in the face or get arrested, you win the game. But I’m pretty sure that even the “pros” aren’t going to let you get away with such action without paying first.)
