It’s hot.  I’m sweaty.

I’m sick of writing about Donald Trump, his dangerously stupid supporters and the ridiculous way the media covers his campaign.

I don’t want to write about anymore gun violence.

I don’t understand the stock market enough to have anything pity to say about this week’s roller-coaster, except we all should have bought stock on Tuesday.

Not even baby pandas can cheer me up.

All I want to do is stay in, binge-watch television shows other people discovered years ago, and try to finish up a baby blanket for a baby due next month.

Instead, I’m trying to amuse you, Constant Reader.  Because I care so much.  So here’s some good news.

•  It looks like the people, united, can raise enough money to counter-act the billionaire would-be kingmakers.

•  Mark your calendars.  I’m saying something good about Walmart:  They’re using capitalism to make it more difficult to get assault-style guns.

• Americans aren’t the only stupid bigots on the planet.

•  Pretty things!

And, if you are not yet feeling better, spend a few minutes here.  A sure cure for the dog days of summer.
