Kevin McCarthy used to be a comic book writer, artist and editor. His credits included Casual Heroes from Image Comics/Motown Animation, Marvel’s Spider-Man Team Up, DC’s Orion, Top Cow’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Dynamite Entertainment’s Army of Darkness, UMI/Guardian’s The Seekers, ALIEN8 for Disney, and Dark Horse’s Eisner Award-winning anthology Michael Chabon Presents The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist. His story “The Mechanist,” drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz, was recognized by Houghton Mifflin as one of “100 Distinguished Comics” in their collection The Best American Comics. Blah, blah, blah. Sooooo, I noticed the ‘Asian Women’ dig. I wold have you know I have NOT mentioned Asian women in weeks, smart guy.
And I’m currently in a 12 step program and dealing as best I can.

Your Death Ray got a shout-out in last week’s strip!
As far as All My Children goes . . . it sucking from time to time, to the point of making you yell at the TV, has always been part of its charm for me.

Watch one episode and you’ll be all caught up.
I’ve always found soap operas and comics to be a very similar “fix.”
You’ve got amnesia, evil twins, forgotten marriages, long, confusing and contradicting storylines . . . and soap operas have some of those things, too.
