Waiting Room for Death, by Q. Reyes – Artistic Warfare #65

Is life a waiting room for death? Even though I’m extremely happy in my life right now, I still find myself questioning life’s purpose. I know that religion helps explain the unknown and give us certainty, but sometime it’s not enough.
Is life controlled by destiny or do we truly have free will? Is it a combination of both? I used to think these were the most important questions ever, and deep inside I still do. But what does it matter when no one else cares?
So what I’ve figured is that life is a place to keep busy while waiting for nothing. We constantly attempt to keep our thoughts coming so that we don’t think about having to die.
I don’t know what else to say.

It doesn’t matter, sweetie. Enjoy every day (or at least a few moments of every day), take care of others, and clean up after yourself.

The purpose of life? To endeavor to have the good shit outweigh the bad. Why are we here? Because sex is good. Everything else that’s good is up to us.

Seriously tho, bro… the timing of your question and my reading of this article today seems interestingly intertwined…

You and King Solomon would have much to talk about. He wrote the same thing in Ecclesiastes.
Keep your sword in one hand and your tools to build in the other, Keu, and stick around to see how it all ends. Whether you are in the Valley of Shadow or a desert wilderess, it makes sense after you’ve walked through it. The tragedy occurs when someone doesn’t care about the answers to the questions you’ve asked.
