America’s Greatest Enemy, by Mike Gold – Brainiac On Banjo #214

It seems lots of people are bent out of shape by Rep. Peter King’s committee hearings looking into the terrorist treat ostensibly posed by Muslim-Americans. On one hand, we have the religious freedom nuts that are pissed about branding all Muslim-Americans as potential terrorists, equating King with other honored citizens such as Father John Coughlin and Senator Joe McCarthy. On the other hand, we have the latter-day pro-Japanese internment crowd.

King might not be the best person to represent his cause, as he is a firm and public supporter of the Irish Republican Party. So am I, but even I believe the IRA is a terrorist organization. Or, as we say as we watch Sons of Anarchy, freedom fighters.

Sadly, King and his supporters are ignoring the real threat to America. They should first focus on the biggest threat by far, a threat so overwhelming that it makes al-Qaeda look like Ronnie and Kenny whizzing and pasting and pooting through the day.

I’m talking about a massive organization that, according to FBI statistics, has been responsible for nearly 25 million violent crimes since 9-11. I’m talking about a group of terrorists that have been responsible for more than one-quarter million murders since 9-11. I’m talking about a group of monsters that have committed more than 171 million property crimes since 9-11.

Yes, friends, I’m talking about Christian-Americans. Together, they commit more crime worldwide than all other religiously-oriented gangs combined.

What goes on inside those “churches” of theirs? Exactly what are children being taught in their so-called “Sunday schools?” We have Christian politicians in this great nation who openly call for the rule of “Christian law” and who have rebranded our Founding Fathers as true Christian believers, and Rep. King and his ilk have not uttered a single cautionary note. Not one!

Now I realize that some people will accuse me of painting all Christians with a wide brush. But numbers do not lie, and we must take those steps that are necessary in order to protect our way of life.

If you happen to be one of these “Christians” and you have nothing to hide, you should not be concerned. I’m sure you are a loyal American, but, honestly, you really should be speaking out against those of your ilk that have been terrorizing our fellow citizens. This is not the time to be quiet. Our safety and our way of life are being jeopardized.

If you still take offense, I understand and I can suggest a place of solace where you can share your feelings of victimization.

Drop by your nearest mosque.

And smile for the cameras.

The author is on the road and, had to write this on March 11th. If Rep. King subsequently got hit by a truck or fell victim to some other sad fate, the author apologizes to both his family and to his bund.

    Mike,

I agree with you totally! I’m surrounded by these “Christians” all the time. They scare me man! You know who are the worst? The WHITE ones! They’re really scary. That’s why I only hang out with the Mexican ones. They at least aren’t as volatile.

    Mike, Mike, Mike.

You DO realize that America is most definitely NOT a Christian nation, don’t you? To have the name of a thing but not actually BE a thing is something that happens everyday. IOW…Counterfeits.

So yes, the unfortunate examples that we see of individuals who staunchly proclaim themselves as Christians but whose repeated(*) actions belie a true commitment, understanding, and an abiding relationship with the Heart of Christ do indeed justify them being called out as hypocrites.

But if you accept the notion that vast majority of the citizens of this land really do or would adhere to the requirements that are established with said relationship, then I respectfully submit for your consideration…that you’re currently in the throes of a 4-way flashback. ;-P

    * Every one of us runs the risk of stumbling in our personal walk of faith…but if it’s a continual thing one should take a hard look in the mirror. And one’s heart.

p.s. Mike, in truth…you’re absolutely right to hold ‘our’ feet to the proverbial fire when justified. I’m just asking that you sight your scope on the right target(s).

Reg, as you know I wrote this with tongue firmly planted in cheek. (Irrelevant aside: where the hell did that phrase come from?) But to my way of thinking faith is strictly a matter of the heart and not of numbers. I think I have enormous faith — I put my faith in people as individuals, and as it was made quite clear to me back in Sweet Home Chicago this past weekend, that faith has presented me with enormous rewards.

    However…

Doug’s comment brings to mind what I believe is certain to be The Fire Next Time. With the Latino-American population growing by leaps and bounds, we’re going to see a concurrent growth in Protestant vs Catholic conflict. You can see it growing already. Mark my words, this is going to be huge.

Power structures do not appreciate being threatened and — think about this for a bit –people do not want to lose the power they don’t necessarily understand they have. People in power, in this case the white Protestant majority, feel threatened by the prospect of change and some lash out. The people who define the United States as a “Christian nation” are not going to handle this demographic shift well at all.

If the Latino population were Protestant, the white Protestants in power would find a way to vilify the Latinos form of Protestantism. This ain’t about religion any more than it’s about religion in northern Ireland. It’s about who has power and who doesn’t.

    Rick,

I agree with you totally. As for the Latino population, you might be surprised at how many here in So Cal aren’t Catholic. A good chunk of the immigrants from Central America belong to Pentecostal churches.

i agree religious extremists are ridiculous. we should get back to the constitution, separation of church and state.

like all these middle east wars in the name of xionism! why bother to fight wars for some ELITIST and RACIST rouge government? also, why are we spending BILLIONS a year in ‘aid’ to a government that enslaves the indigenous peoples in apartheid??? izreal is the NUMBER ONE recipient of foreign ‘aid’ are you kidding me??? people are STARVING and izreal needs her money to add more barbed wire to that inhumane wall of theirs.

all these wars being fought in the middle east to insure izreal’s command presence should be stopped! all those bombings, all those people dead, so izreal can remain atop!

the ONLY reason there are any wars in the middle east, is to protect izreali interests.

so one of the ways to stop the bombings is simple. stop ALL aid to izreal. stop succumbing to the EXTREMELY powerful izreali lobby in DC. and stop voting for xionists! stop bowing before ‘religion’ in politics!

once we free the world from the shackles of ‘political’ xionism, there will be a LOT less murders in the world!

too bad the fbi could not investigate xionistic murders as well. but then again, all they need to do is open up the newspaper, and see how many civilian brown people died in the middle east today.

Rather than being a “rouge” nation, I believe Israel only uses a light blush.

Don, in addition to your desperate need for a remedial spelling class, you also need to read a newspaper that actually covers the middle east objectively. Moslems and Israelis have been blowing each other up since the 13th Century. It’s not a turf war and it certainly isn’t a war over oil (which, in that part of the world, is actually sort of refreshing). It’s a three-way religious war in a territory that is holy to Moslems, Jews and Christians alike.

We certainly agree that we must stop bowing before religion in politics, and I agree with and admire your phrasing on that point.

Sadly, the constitution says nothing specifically about the separation of church and state. It’s certainly implied in the First Amendment and has been honored by judicial and legislative comment from time to time, but it has never, ever been practiced in the United States of America. When it comes to stopping bigotry, I prefer to start with my home nation.

And, for the record, I’m opposed to murder across the board, no matter who the perpetrators are and no matter who the victims are.

Martha, when it comes to the light blush of a rouge nation, I think you must take into consideration those wigs. They’re not “rouge” but creating a cosmetic balance requires coordination with the hairpieces.

Doug, I don’t think you can throw Funk and Wagnalls off your porch without Jay Leno’s permission. Or, at the very least, Bill Maher’s.

(You must have noticed how a great deal of Maher’s technique comes from Johnny Carson. Which, in turn, came from Jack Benny. Which, in turn, came from Frank Faye. I’m talking technique here, not material. But I find this particular evolution — from Faye to Benny to Carson to Maher — to be fascinating.)

Rick, I was afraid xionism was a euphemism for people who don’t have the balls to actually say “mud people” even when they don’t give their last name. Thanks for checking. And Doctor David Duke, not as catchy a name as Doctor Victor Von Doom, is contemplating a run for president. I presume this would mean he’d move back to Louisiana from Austria, possibly using his connections as a fprmer Air America (CIA) employee.

i misspell on purpose by the way. just a habit, to avoid tripping any filters.

as for a ‘religious war’ guess what? in 1870 everyone in Palestine was over there living in PEACE. then the Rothschilds decided they needed a country of their own, as if England was not enough for them.

the Neturei Karta Rabbi’s make videos explaining how at one time, palestinians and jews all lived in peace, until the BALFOUR DECLARATION.

the balfour declaration you ask? well, that is when england handed Palestine to ONE family, the Rothschilds. but i guess someone forgot to ask the Palestinians if it was ok to give away their land.

i do not know about what others think, but i do damn well know, no ‘family’ no matter how ‘rich and powerful’ deserve an entire country to themselves.

the ‘conflicts’ in Palestine are a political scam. if they would let EVERYONE live in peace, and equality, if everyone was allowed to vote, if everyone was allowed to live without apartheid, there would be peace.

but then the xionists would not have their conflicts, or their balfour declared ‘country.’ and then izreal could not demand BILLIONS a year in political ‘aid’ and BILLIONS from religious freaks who are programmed enough to contribute to xionist ‘charities.’

please also recall, that during the crusades the jews and muslims fought side by side against the christians. also, when i see an izreali selling me salts in my mall, they look AWFULLY like a palestinian. why? because they are all the same!!!

war is a scam. xionism is a HUGE scam. dont be fooled by it. everyone should live in peace, no one should be enslaved by apartheid.

all i want is a free republic, and a free palestine. i am anxiously awaiting the day palestine is set free!

    Mike, our Golden Boy –

Sometimes I wonder how Jesus would fare in front of a Congressional panel, or in front of those who use His name as a weapon.

But I suppose that’s what happened before. Both the politicians and the religious leaders rejected Him. That was kind of the entire point of what He did.

A good test of whether someone is a follower of Christ is not whether they are willing to kill for what they believe, but whether they are willing to die without taking out anyone else with them as they go.

    That’s a true martyr.

  27. Mike Gold

Don, guess what? You’re full of shit. Everybody in Palestine in 1870 might have been living in peace, EXCEPT for the native Jews. I’ve grown tired of the Rothchilds paranoia a long, long time ago — sort of like how I’m tired of people who take the Illuminati seriously today — so all I’ll say is this: why the fuck would the Rothchilds want to live in Palestine? Oil? In 1870? Maybe a crushing lust for dates and pistachio nuts?

I think agree that we share an important goal: that of a free democracy throughout the world, not just for Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Lebanon, et al. But the religious bullshit that goes hand-in-hand with tribalism that dominates this suck planet obviates that possibility.

  28. Mike Gold

Whitney, when it comes to revolutionaries I have no use for martyrs. A dead revolutionary cannot fight, cannot organize, cannot spread the message. Martyrs have their message and their work subjected to incessant consecutive reinterpretation.

Joe Hill talked the talk — don’t mourn, organize — but sadly he chose to dance the dance. At the end of a rope.

I could have but then she asked me to leave the lights on. I did leave the lighst on but told her I would be right back because I had to get something in my car.

I was full of shit, I didn’t come back. I thought I was really clever until I saw her the next day at class. DUH. She asked me what happened, I said I forgot what apartment she was in. SEE? I was full of shit!
