Maybe I’m Amazed…by Michael Davis – Straight No Chaser #283 | @MDWorld

No, there is no maybe about it. I am amazed.
When the Arab Spring was mainly good things, like dictators being shot in the head, going into exile, or anything remotely positive, those on the Right gave Obama no props for having anything to do with it.
But NOW, when the Arab Spring turns ugly because of some dumb fuck’s Internet film, NOW it’s all Obama’s fault.
I hate the stupidity of politics, and I’m amazed that some people buy into the clear double standard of this Arab Spring shit.
I’m also amazed that there are people that still think Obama is a Muslim and was not born in this this country.
People believe that shit. I mean, people believe that dumb shit. That amazes me to no end.
What kind of people believe you can’t get pregnant from being raped, or believe the President of the United States hates America? What kinds of people deny science, or give no credit to Obama for killing Osama? Who is stupid enough to even consider that it was policies Bush put into place that finally busted a cap in that fucker’s head?
Really? Bush said he was not even thinking of Osama, and Romney said he wouldn’t waste a lot of resources looking for him.
Not thinking about the man who masterminded the worst terrorist attack in the history of the country? Don’t waste resources on the man who was making it his life’s mission to destroy everything America stood for?
Obama was called naïve and an amateur when he stated he would go into Pakistan if Osama were there. Osama WAS there, and Obama WENT there, and the Seals busted a cap in that sick bastard.
Obama said he would do it, and he did it, but the GOP gives him no props.
I guess Bush would not have thought about, and Romney would not have wasted any resources on, going after Japan after they bombed Pearl Harbor.
What kind of people insist that the first Black president of United States show his birth certificate like a slave showing his freedom papers, and even when he does show his birth certificate, long and short form, what kind of people still insist he’s lying?
What kind of people? GOP kind of people.
I’m amazed by some subgroups within the Republican Party also. Log Cabin Republicans are gay and lesbian Republicans. The 2012 GOP platform has an anti-gay agenda.
Who the fuck belongs to a party that could give a fuck about their civil rights? Who belongs to a party that abhors their very lifestyle?
Not me, every time I get a call from the Klan asking me if I’d like a robe, I decline. Call me old-fashioned, but joining a group that has deep-seated resentment of my very right to even exist seems rather silly to me.
Yes, I know not everybody in the GOP are those kinds of people, but those kinds of people are in leadership, and one of those kinds of people is running for president.
You know what else amazes me?
Romney refuses to release any more of his taxes. CLEARLY he is hiding something. There are some on the Right who are still after Obama to prove he was born here, and that makes perfect sense to some kinds of people who will vote for Romney.
Like I said, I’m amazed.

Obama’s got Big Mo on his side right now, and I think any decisive-looking action will inure to his benefit… PARTICULARLY after Romney bad-mouths it, which he most certainly will do. The stupid fuck can’t avoid it. First he accused Obama of appeasement while the bodies were still warm, now he says the YouTube video sucks. Wow, asshole, what took you so long? I wonder.
Romney did something almost impossible: he managed to score no discernible bump after the RNC. Obama got the usual couple points and he motivated the troops. Looking at the polls of “likely” voters and dismissing the popularity contests (which are pro-Obama anyway), the average spread is four in Obama’s favor. Some have it as high as nine.
Of course, only two things really count: the spread in Virginia, Ohio, and Florida, and a fair unencumbered count in those states as well as Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa. Right now Obama is leading in all those states, but by less than 2 points. The only way Romney can win is by stealing the election like Bush did, but if that happens this time there will be rioting in the streets.

Wait a minute.
Obama’s mom’s name is Stanley? How’d I miss that?
No wonder Barack’s got so many true believers.

And no matter what he’ll actually say, the right will have the meme that Obama ‘apologizes’ for America. Yeah, we should just go blow shit up like a Michael Bay movie and make these guys martyrs. That’s what I like about Obama, he actually seems like he thinks things through and considers what the consequences are,

Frankly, I’m amazed that that the presidential race is even considered as being close. I mean, when one really looks at the other guy’s no solutions platform (wait until AFTER we’re elected), no tax return releasing, insulting our closest ally (smack dab in the middle of their feeling plumb proud of their Olympic spirit), terminal case of being out of touch with the 99% of Americans, and chronic foot in mouth-itis, how is this even a contest at this point?
I mean, really?

The election should not be anywhere near this close. Romney should be leading by 40 points based on the economy being terrible. Well it’s not REALLY terrible and since Obama been in it’s growing but not nearly fast enough and according to Romney Obama has made it worst.
Shit- according to Mitt, Obama started World War II. Because it is so close and Obama looks like he will win (until Mitt the GOP and FOX News produce a gay porn film with a guy who LOOKS like Obama sucking dick while yelling ‘I’m a Muslim and I hate America! ) people must really hate Mitt or they are not as dumb as I think.

OK, I have to admit . . .I love reading your stuff even when I don’t agree with it (most of the time) . . . but when you start your blog with the assertion that people on the right were not giving props to Obama for the “mainly good things”, and then say we have a double standard for being proven right . . .? Sorry. Can’t read past the first couple of paragraphs.

Damon,
FYI, since you and i have become friends I make it a point to always make it clear in my anti GOP rants that not everyone in the GOP are not as bad as I make them out to be. That said, if you would have continued reading you would have read that I’m joining the Tea Party because like most Black men I do so love me some fat white women.
So read on dear friend-it’s there (in code seen only with MANY homemade beers in you) but it’s there. 😉

Yeah, one of these days you gotta explain to me the fat white women thing. What about fat Asian women? There are a couple. Two or three, here in New York…
