The Lost Rants, by Michael Davis – Straight No Chaser #109

March 20, 2009 Michael Davis 5 Comments

ArchivesI have some personal issues I have to deal with this week so instead of missing the deadline I’m going to run all the articles I wrote for a ‘Yahoo blog’ some 3 years ago before I started writing Straight No Chaser for Comicmix. One of the things that stand out about these rants is my statement that I would not share to much ‘personal’ info on the net.

Boy, did that change.

I’m new to this blog. thing. I think this will be a great place to bitch and hopefully share good things also. But mainly to BITCH!

My name is Michael I’m a producer of sorts. I work in film, TV, and comics. I am an only child (my only sister was murdered, this is important because a lot of my ranting stem from that event) That’s pretty much all the personal info I want out there in cyberspace.

I know that there are a whole slew of people who will bare their inner most thoughts on the net. One day it will come back and bite them in the ass. I can’t see how telling the world about that threesome you had in college with a pony and a sheep is anyone’s business. That sort of thing should be in a private journal or between you and your shrink. If you put it out there you have no one to blame but yourself.

More later, I just got a call from the monkey I’m dating…

Why me?

Just as a reminder to anyone who views this. These are random thoughts. There is no flow except for the flow of random thoughts.

I wonder who looks at my blog. I have had 8 viewing (no comments) and wonder who found me and why. I wonder who has the time to just look up random stuff on people. I guess it can be kind of cool to find out things about strange people. Unless you are a criminal and you are up to no good.

OH! There a subject I can rant on! CRIMINALS!

I have a real issue with people who break the law. Not the small stuff like stealing an apple from a cart or stupid lapses of judgment- but the really bad stuff like killing and kidnapping. I think those people should he hung…on TV…twice…during half time… at the Super-Bowl.

Here for your reading pleasure are some of my views on crime:

1) I think that parents should be held responsible for kids under 18 that commit crimes.

2) I think every kid should be tried as an adult for murder (unless it’s self-defense).

3) I would like to see criminals suffer…a lot.

4) If you plead ‘not guilty’ and their is video tape evidence of your guilt. Then you should get twice the mandatory sentence and your family should have to pay court costs.

5) Family members of victims should be able to punch you in the face if you are found guilty.

6) If you falsely accuse someone of a crime (rape, domestic violence, etc) and you are found out to be lying or you recant your story. YOU should go to jail for a real long time.

7) If someone breaks into your home you should be able to shoot them and sue them for all their assets.

I have to go now-someone is at my window and I have to grab my gat and call my lawyer.

Wow! Another entry in the same week!! I am rolling here! Let’s see- what is my rant for today? I know! People who treat their pets like people. A few days ago I was getting into my car when this yapping little toy dog came running up to me. It was growling and biting at my feet. The owner thought it was sooooo cute. I told her if her dog bit me I would kick it into space. She looked at me like I was on crack. So I put my * crack pipe away and repeated ‘If your dog bites me, I will kick it into space.’ She picked up her dog and asked me -what right I had to threaten her dog?

I asked her -“What right do you have to let your dog off its lease (which is against the law) and what would you expect me to do if your dog bit me?”

She said if her dog bit me it would not be a big deal. I said kicking the crap out of her little mutt would not be a big deal to me so we understood each other.

Now I have 2 dogs one is a Pit Bull mix the other is a Golden Retriever. I love both my dogs. HOWEVER-does my home smell like them? Do they have the run of my home? Do I let anyone just come up to them and pet them? Do I buy them birthday gifts? Do I feed them people food? The answer to every single one of those questions is HELL NO! In fact if I give my dogs food and they don’t like it. They will go hungry if they don’t eat it. Because it will sit in that bowl until they do.

When they die-I will be sad for a moment but I’m not going to have a funeral of stuff them. Now let me be very very clear-If you want to treat your dog like a person and your dog or cat or moose is the light of your life-I’m O.K. with that. I really am. But-don’t expect other people to care about your pet. It’s like smoking-if you choose to smoke -that’s your choice but do not do it in my personal space. I like breathing and don’t want to die.

So if you treat your pet like a member of your family-that’s fine with me but do not get upset when your dog becomes airborne when it runs up to the wrong person.

* I was kidding about the crack pipe…hehehe…hee.

Stupid People!

WOW! Another on the same day!!! I could not resist-I just saw on the news that a hiker is missing in the mountains here in L.A. Now if you choose to climb a mountain or jump from a airplane-that’s on you. That’s your choice. But when you break your leg or get lost or something happens to you during your adventure and you need to be rescued -THEN YOU pay for it!

You choose to mountain climb- you get trapped-YOU pay for the emergency services that finds you. This rant started because as I said I was just watching the news and heard that a hiker is missing in the mountains. This iDIOT was recovering from BACK SURGERY

Now he’s lost and possibly dead. Should my tax dollars go towards his stupidity?

No.

I’m probably gonna be that hiker in twenty years. Senile outdoor people eventually just walk outside, then they wrestle mountain lions.

Wrestle being a really loose term here.

I actually remember being really impressed that you had more dogs than most people, and you have a house that looks and smells like no animals live there at all.

Your remarks about people and their dogs reminds of some of the issues with people and their kids on the trains and buses around here. They should be sitting down, not walking up and down the aisle as it’s moving; plus bumping into people or not moving out of the way when people are trying to get off or on. Heaven forbid anyone tells the kid to knock it off since the parent isn’t doing anything.

Sorry, been a long week, needed to let that out.
