The Chemical Imbalance of Love by Q. Reyes – Artistic Warfare #43

October 4, 2009 Q. Reyes 0 Comments

Love is nothing but a chemical imbalance. It’s the way your body tells your mind that it wants more of something or someone. You might love coffee or watching TV or both; but; do you really love that? Is there a real presence of something called “love”?

People say they love people, and that’s fine, as long as the people they’re loving are over eighteen (in this Country, sixteen in Vegas). The reality is that the feeling of love is not a feeling at all. It’s nothing but a physical reaction to internal or external stimulation, and the most important fact is… that “feeling” is only temporary.

For example, most people have a “first love,” or a person that would be considered to be their first experience of this “feeling”. Most people, however, do not stay together with their first love (and the people that do stay are stupid and don’t know what their missing).

So if you have a “first love,” can you have a “second love?” And if you have a “new love,” can you still love the “old love?” Can you have three loves? Four? Is there a limit to the number of “loves” you can have? Can you love everything and everyone? Where do we draw the line between “fond memories” and “love?”

The same questions apply to “love at first sight”. Does that even exist, and if it does, then there has to be a “love at second sight”, right? How about “love after seven years of sightings?”

How about “unconditional love”? How can it be “unconditional” when in order for it to be unconditional it has to meet the condition that it be unconditional? Are you even paying attention to the depthness of my words? If you are then you would know that “depthness” is not even a word.
Look, I’m not saying that you’re stupid. What I am saying is that you’re borderline mentally incapacitated if you believe in life after love – I can feel something inside me say – I really don’t think you’re strong enough now. Yes, that was a Cher song, so shut up.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me right now. I’m just tired of stupidity. People that think they love other people or things are stupid. If love was real, why wouldn’t they make an Olympic event for it? Like a Love-a-thon. That way we can find out who’s the best lover in the world.

We all know who the winner in the Love-a-thon would be. Do I really need to say it? I’ll let you think about that one. I gotta go train now.
