It has been months of hard work on my new TV show, Latino 101, premiering on SiTV January 8th at 9pm. Sorry for the shameless plug, but I can’t be at peace with myself if I don’t let everyone know that the show will air on Fridays at 9pm and that you can check what channel SiTV is by visiting SiTV.com
Having said that, it has been months of hard work. From planning and pre-production all the way to endless hours at the editing bay – which is the place I’ve grown to call home.
Latino 101, if I was to describe it loosely, it’s a collection of humorous interviews with comedians, actors, music artists, fine artists, businessmen, professors and other entertaining people who comment on Latino culture – from what or who we eat and why, all the way to answering why some of us choose quinceañeras over college.
The idea came about when my boy Jason Nieves had this idea of doing this cost effective show in front of a green screen. It seemed like common sense to me. We put together a presentation that we shot in his apartment using a green blanket as a green screen. We got some our comedian friends to stop by and give us an hour of their time. We edited a couple of clips and pitched the show to SiTV, and now here we are about to premiere January 8th at 9pm (sorry).
MOTU and Tatiana both graced us with their presence on the show. I remember telling MOTU before his interview that there was nothing off limits, and I assured him that there’s nothing he could say that would offend anyone. Boy, was I wrong!
We had some pretty controversial comedians on our set saying and doing many horrendous things, and no one even flinched. Here comes MOTU and proceeds to explain how he likes Latinas because (paraphrasing) “they have that long hair that you can pull and won’t come off.” OMG!!! The funniest thing ever!!! Except the Black women on the set started plotting to stab him. Hilarious! Needless to say that part won’t make the show, but I will definitively try to have that moment live forever – somehow.
You can check out some clips online at http://www.sitv.com/latino101 and you can follow Latino 101 on Twitter @latino101tv and/or become a fan on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/latino101tv
I’m really excited about the show premiering and can’t wait to see MOTU, Tatiana and anyone who reads these articles at the Latino 101 Wrap party. I’ll be there giving one-on-one lessons on seducing women. Bring napkins.

Thanks for coming to the Party MOTU. Sorry about the lack of Asian women. The ones I ordered off the internet never showed up. I think they got stopped by customs at the airport.
