I’ve been quite silent in the past few weeks. I’ve got plenty of stories and insight, just haven’t been able to get the words to flow. Conversely I’ve been painting, drawing, and doing photography a lot more!
Inspired by my surroundings, delighted by my favorite time of the year, influenced by people and situations, I’ve begun pouring myself more and more into my art. So I spoke to MOTU and proposed my column take a different direction. Instead of letting my words describe my journey as an artist, I will feature my art- new and archives, along with quotes that inspire me. I hope you continue along the for the ride and enjoy getting a peek into my art!

Well, I’ve long been a fan of yours (as in, like, three years?) and this piece is really sweet. Is it in illustration of something, or a stand-alone?

@ Mike- Yeah it has been about 3 years.
I’m glad you like the piece. It is a standalone image. I have an affinity for everything vintage, and was inspired to create this piece from a book that detailed the dance moves and etiquette of the 19th century.
There is so much order and properness that gets lost in our go-go, instant society.
