You can't make this stuff up, so we don't!

The Invasion of the Communist Sperm!, by Mike Gold – Brainiac On Banjo #293 | @MDWorld

It’s just getting stranger and stranger. Not funny-strange. Dangerous-strange. Idi Amin strange. The latest from the demented zealots who steer the Ship of Elephant is… Red Spermatozoagate!

There’s a documentary making the rounds of the hysterical right called Dreams From My Real Father. The movie states the President’s grandfather was an undercover CIA advent who conned Barack’s daddy into marrying his teenage daughter because said daughter had been knocked up by a 55-year old commie by the name of Frank M. Davis. Our President is the product of Communist sperm. Red spermatozoa.

And the Republican Party – if it exists at all – has yet to refute this. Not even with a comedic brush-off. The Republican Party – if it exists at all – is too scared of the Birthers, the Psycho-Birchers, and the Tea Partiers. But they call the man who killed Osama Bin Laden weak.

You might say a sane person wouldn’t believe this Communist sperm crap for a moment. To this I respond: George W. Bush Jr. received almost 50% of the vote – twice – and a mediocre B-movie actor turned detergent salesman was elected president and subsequently lionized by the same people who are peddling this hooey. Reality hasn’t been the Republican’s strong suit for over three decades.

Alabama Republican Party Chair Bill Armistead told the Mobile Press-Register Dreams From My Real Father “is absolutely frightening. I’ve seen it. I verified that it is factual, all of it.” A great many right wing Republican Wackyland websites have been saying this is a factual documentary despite the fact that the movie is narrated by an Obama impersonator.  According to Joel Gilbert, the movie’s director, “millions” of copies are now being distributed to swing-state voters. Millions.
Of course, not all Republicans believe this. Many still hold dear the belief that Barack Obama is from Africa and is ineligible to be our President. Therefore, his daddy can’t be an American Commie.

And I’m still trying to figure out how the CIA fits in to this. I gather Barack Obama was the grassy knoll shooter.

They say a person can’t make this stuff up; well, I say can I can, but they won’t pay me enough. This one has all the earmarks of a great late 60s Yippie! stunt. If I thought for a moment these hysterical sub-humanoids were doing a political con game, I’d respect the hell out of them.

Or, maybe, I’m simply hoping it is a stunt from the Left. At least then I’d know that Dick Tuck did not die in vain.

Even if somehow it were true, the inevitable question is: Why should it matter?

I was not aware that communist sympathies were a inherited genetic trait. I mean, these are the people who believe homosexuality is a choice, and yet they think communism is genetical?

I mean, I expect people to demonize politicians they’re opposed to, it’s just strange and telling that Obama is unique in that he is demonized in ways that relate to his genetics and origin.

Latent (and not so latent) racism rising its ugly head, IMO.

Yes, communism is a genetic trait. Obama’s secret agenda is to turn the country over to the U.N., which will force us all to be communists, because, as we all know, that’s what the U.N. does.

Mormonism is also a genetic trait. Mitt Romney’s secret agenda is to force us all to become Mormons.

So your choice is between communism and Mormonism. I can’t tell you which choice to make, but I’ll give you a hint: only one of them will allow you to drink.

    Abbie? Jerry?
    Have you both risen?

Rene, that’s the scariest thing: there are people out there, certainly not all Republicans to be sure (I really, really hope), that actually think that there is such a thing as Communist Sperm. Next to the prospect of a Frank Miller Justice League movie, this is what keeps me up nights.

Rick, either one would drive me to drink. And if I start drinking alcohol, I’d want to do that with you. And you don’t drink alcohol. So phooey on Communism and on Mormonism.

Mike: I might start again if Romney is elected. So for my sake, everybody should vote for Obama.

    Rick,

    OK. For your sake…

Pennie, one of the things I learned at Abbie’s feet, right after I learned not to have sex with anybody who recently had sex with Abbie, was in order to create a great myth it has to be built around a core that people really WANT to believe.

I think the only people who believe Communist Sperm actually means anything — let along this really stupid story about the traveling salescommie knocking up the President’s mother — are the people who remain loyal to the current version of the Tea Party.

    “You know. Morons.”

    Mike,

Are you sure that these people are smart enough to BE morons? I know that you’re making a classical reference, but morons have some intelligence. The current Tea Party/birther crowd seems more brain dead to me.

People desperately want to make sense out of the world they live in, and when the world doesn’t adhere to their preconceived notions, convoluted conspiracy theories help fill in the gaps.

Mike, I think you hit the nail. That there are Americans breathing oxygen who actually believe this Yippie-like stunt, who want to believe it, as moronic as it is, is not a stunner. Having sex with anyone who just had sex with Abbie turns into a stunner.

It simply was not recommended for people who stand when they pee. You’d need something to hold on to.

    Golden Boy –

All of these shenanigans are funny, unless bad guys win.

Smear campaigns and their relationship to road kill? Given enough time, pavement heat, and getting rolled over again and again…the victim becomes unrecognizable.

Yep, Whitney, you’re most certainly right. Look at how the Swift Boat liars and pawns transformed a genuine war hero into a commie-simp coward. It worked because the Republicans were selling fear and hatred.

Clearly, that’s their stock in trade. And that was before the Tea Party happened.
