People-Hate, But Shouldn’t by Q. Reyes – Artistic Warfare #39

Human beings are haters by nature and are willing to do anything to either be the best or stop someone else from being the best. Looking simply at our relationship with the animal kingdom, if we see a cute and cuddly animal, we will kill it and take its fur, so that way we look cute and cuddly.

There are some things people in this planet hate, but they have no reason to hate. Like Republicans hating Democrats and vise versa. Who the hell cares? It’s not like anyone can do anything to change a thing. So people in both sides need to shut up and worry about more important things, like why is the next Bourne movie taking so long to come out.

People also hate Bernie Madoff and I don’t get it. Most people in his position would have done the same thing. It’s easy to say “I would never do…” when you’re not in position to “ever do…” anything. So shut the hell up. So Bernie takes billions from people.

What about Martha Stewart? Why do people hate her? Insider trading? Why do people give a damn? I’m more upset because I’ve never been able to pull off any kind of scheme big enough to make me rich. I hate her because she’s able to commit the crimes I wish I could do. I can’t even embezzle twenty dollars from my mom, let alone insider trading crap.

People hate Ryan Seacrest. Why? Because he’s a filthy rich bachelor living it up on TV? So what if he looks and acts gay? Why do you give a damn? Given the opportunity he’d probably take your girlfriend away from you. If I could, I’d be the Puerto Rican Ryan Seacrest. I don’t hate Ryan because he makes thirty million dollars. I hate Dave Chappelle for walking away from thirty million and leaving millions of people entertainment-less for so long.

People also hate Rush Limbaugh, but he still has one of the highest-rated shows on radio. You want to know why? Because it’s not boring. I consider myself on the liberal side of the fence, but damn it, those “progressive” talk shows are mad boring. Rush Limbaugh keeps you constantly wanting to punch your radio, and I like that feeling. Why would anyone listen to someone that agrees with them. You need conflict in entertainment.

There are two kinds of people in the world. Those that hate and those that love. The ones that love, live a better life, overall. I hate people that hate.
